HPMKT Round up- Part III

Here is our last recap of some trends and themes at this Spring’s High Point Furniuture Market….

Geodes, Crystals, and Semi-Precious Stones: Quartz, malachite, turquoise, sea glass….from agate slices to inlaid quartz pieces to suspended raw crystals…from actual stones to faux prints on fabrics, wallpapers, and furniture finishes….from chandeliers to sconces to candles to actual furniture pieces the organic swirls and raw edges of these stones gave some unique glitz and glam to create one-of-a-kind showstoppers for any room. This idea took the concept of the nature inspired theme of markets past and amped up the oh-la-la factor in a more polished presentation of such unrefined elements.

Going Green: Emerald was the Pantone color of the year a few years past but is still going strong this market. Bold pops of this hue paired with graphic black and white, monochromatic green shades, and lots of gold made for a refined jeweled toned statement. This theme crossed over into the above trend with lots and lots of malachite taking center stage in the form of lamps, decorative boxes, furniture inlays, and even fabric prints!
