High Point Market: Fall 2014 Part I

Once again it is that wonderful time of year when the design industry is bursting with a sense of renewed inspiration as the High Point Furniture Market, hosted in both the fall and spring and falling over this past calendar week, brings together the worlds of textiles, trims, case goods, custom upholstery, lighting, and home accessory items and much much more to showcase the latest in design happenings by forecasting new trends, promoting various vendors, and pronouncing an impressive array of innovative interior inspirations.  It is truly a treat to be able to attend and to be completely immersed in all things design- talk about getting some ideas spinning! We search high and low and tirelessly each and every market in order to bring you, our customers, the very best in terms of design and store inventory products. Take a look at some of our favorite finds this fall market and some of the haute hues to be on the look for soon:
As was to be expected, the blue and white color combo was everywhere at market. From entire rooms in this classic monochromatic duo to simple accent vases speckled here and there it is certain that this ceramic inspired pallet is a tried and true classic that is back and better than ever! (Take a look at our previous forecast of this color trend here.)
Canary yellow was a cheery companion to all of the blue and white we saw and served as a posh punch to softer combos such as greige and taupe based linens and soft aquas.

And the prettiest of pinks made us blush with delight! Soft and subtle it serves as the faintest accent to muted pastel pallets and soft neutrals, elegantly contrasts with rich masculine silhouettes and textiles, and elegantly subdues brightly saturated and bold prints.

Tune back in later this week as we reveal Part II of this market’s excursions!
