The design pendulum has been trending back this direction for the past several markets now but it was more evident than ever at this Fall’s showing that brass is back with a vengeance! Whether taking on sleek, contemporary, and minimalist silhouettes or gilding unique and one-of-a-kind organic shapes and forms this market was all about some (un-lacquered) brass detailing. There is a certain warmth and depth to such a finish- just the right amount of polish, seemingly understated in the un-lacquered finish with a range of patina that feels well worn and integral to the look of a space – refined yet relaxed.
