Classics are classics for a reason- they are always timeless in their tradition. Sometimes, however you want to freshen up your classic staples with a few fresh tweaks here and there either to update the look to a more current feel, to change the aesthetic for your own style changes over time, etc. This bedroom revamp in progress does just that taking some custom made bedroom staples from a few years past: bed skirt, upholstered chairs, foot stools, etc. and updating them with the juxtaposition of some fresh custom bedding, drapery panels, and accent pillows to breathe new life into the same color scheme and overall aesthetic direction the room once had enabling the revitalization of not only the existing fabric staples but also all of the artwork and accessories currently in play. A mixture of textures from velvet to embroidery to linen to tweed as well as a lot of layered patterns in similar hues create a dynamic, eclectic, and acquired spin on traditional design while the interjection of crisp white with the range of more saturated coral-reds and aqua-blues makes everything feel fresh and new. We love the mix of designer fabrics and trims here and can’t wait to see what the finished product looks like!
