From the Designers’ Desk: Midnight Blue and “Greenery” Pillow Scheme

This in progress pillow scheme was too good not to share. In an all neutral room (think linen sofa, neutral rug, white walls) with the only current “pop” being a wonderfully deep turquoise velvet sofa some fun and funky layered patterns are needed to create some visual impact and tie in the turquoise accent color further into the modern and slightly mid century inspired room. One of our new Madcap Cottage for Robert Allen pagoda toiles in a lovely midnight blue and Pantone “greenery” color combo sets the tone for the palette. Accented by a slubby tweed in the same hues, a luxe velvet Greek key trim, and a bold abstracted animal print this room design now feels vivacious, lively, and beautifully bold.
