From the Designer’s Desk: Neutral Blues and Nature Inspired

This tid bit from one of our talented interior designer’s desk features the thought process of the beginnings of a lovely whole room work up for a family room and adjoining kitchen space from a recent in home design consultation appointment. In the works here is a scheme that is serene and soothing utilizing a soft aqua blue as the base tone neutral for the space (yes, some colors can be “neutral”) and offering range and depth via creamy ivory highlights and copper-y brown low lights and a mix of subtle prints and textures- animal prints, crewel geometrics, aqua leather pipings, and nature inspired themes give this space a range of interest that really add drama to such a refined color pallet. Greek key trims down the leading edges of panels, banded Roman shades, contrast upholstery welting and pillow trims are all also custom details to come to fruition out of this beautiful pile of thoughts and samples. We cannot wait to see this room come together!
