From the Designer’s Desk: Soothing English Floral Bedroom

Your bedroom should be a retreat, a sanctuary of sorts for you to come to at the end of a long day and be able to unwind, rest, rejuvenate, and replenish for the next day ahead. We believe that your bedroom design, and really any room design for that matter in your home, should evoke feelings of a deep sigh of relief, a warm comforting embrace, and should echo a restorative whisper of “come hither and relish in the comfort of your home.” Your bedroom, especially so, as it is the last thing you see at night and the first thing you see in the morning. Your environment has the psychological and emotional power to impact the trajectory of your day by the ambiance that it creates, for instance, a cluttered and mismatched space likely wont project the same feelings of calmness that say, this beautiful in progress master suite would. This layered neutral space with pastel punches of citrine, aqua, and the faintest lavender mingle with oatmeal linen tones and soft dove greys to create exactly what a timeless, English garden inspired retreat should be: a classic mix of patterns with textures that feel fresh and distinctive, custom detailing in contrast welting, flanges, trims, and color/pattern repetitions, subtle “pops” of saturated hues, delicate embroideries, and a bevy of pattern textures, weights, and scales.
